Senators, I am a registered independent voter. I have always voted for policy over party, for the candidate who I thought would best represent what Americans need and want, and for the candidate who would work across the aisle to make our country the best it can be for ALL of us. In the past I have voted for Republicans and in the past I have voted for Democrats. I can honestly say that the Republican party is not the Republican party of years passes. You all have lost your way, infected by MAGA and running this country into a fascist future. I have no interest in supporting a member of the party of Nazis or white supremacists, or the party who destroys the world order and ignores the rule of law and the Constitution, or for the party who terrorizes American citizens. For the last 20 years or so, I've watched the Republican Party strip away rights from the American people. I've watched the Republican Party cater to the very wealthy while ignoring the rest of us. But never in my life did I think I would see the Republican party support the alternate reality that Donald Trump brings with him. To say that I am horrified with what the Republican party has become and what you allow to continue to happen is putting it mildly. Senators, I can honestly say I will not be voting for any Republican candidate in the midterms or the 2028 election. I can honestly say that I will never vote for the Republican party again until it shows it has completely severed itself from the fascist influence of MAGA. Our government relies on a healthy two-party system. But until the Republican party breaks away from the right-wing extremism of Stephen Miller, Donald Trump, JD Vance, and the rest of Trump's corrupt cohorts, as far as I'm concerned the Republican party no longer exists. It's not too late for you to break away from what the Republican party is becoming, and unless you do, then I will assume you support Nazis and white supremacy and fascism. I will assume you support terrorizing, murdering, and disappearing of American citizens and others here legally. I will assume you support taking away Medicare, Medicaid, SNAP, Social Security, and other government programs that the American people rely on. I will assume that you do not care about equal rights for all. I will assume that you do not care that women are dying or losing the ability to have future children because they can't receive proper healthcare. And I will assume that you believe in Imperialism and that the United States can take whatever country it wants, following the example of Putin. Sadly, what breaks my heart the most is that you are openly following a demented, unhinged, mentally incompetent and physically unwell old man who honestly cares nothing for our country. Trump is not a patriot. Donald Trump is in the presidency to stay out of jail and to make money. He is corrupt, he is a convicted felon, he is a convicted rapist, and he is a pedophile. He is a grifter. He is abhorrent. He is the epitome of what evil represents. And that is not the Republican party I will ever identify with. Your party is unAmerican and rotting at its core.
