I’m a constituent writing to urge you to oppose the confirmation of Todd Blanche as Attorney General. I’ve read Liz Oyer’s letter. I oppose Todd Blanche for Attorney General. Ms. Oyer, a career DOJ official, has stated that Mr. Blanche fired her after she refused a demand to help restore the firearm rights of a convicted domestic abuser who is a friend of the President. She has also described retaliation afterward, including efforts to intimidate her and block her from speaking to Congress. Ms. Oyer is not alone — more than 1,200 former Justice Department employees have also urged this Committee to reject Blanche’s nomination, citing concerns about DOJ independence and integrity. I ask that you take these accounts seriously and vote against confirming Todd Blanche as Attorney General. Thank you for representing me and considering my views.
