While I appreciate your respect for decorum and Senate rules, I urge you to recognize the historic assault on both those things (along with the Constitution and the rule of law). The Reconciliation bill is a case in point. It should not qualify for majority-vote legislation, for one thing. It is also deadly. It will starve children, endanger pregnant women and their babies, harm elders and more. You, Sen. Cantwell, need to recognize the severity of this crisis. You and every Democrat must deny all calls for unanimous consent, even for mundane business like adjournment and journal approval. Use every tactic, every parliamentary procedure, every platform, to stop the Republican assault. I expect to see a statement from the Senator today committing to what I just said. Thanks.
