Provide a List of Constituent Town Halls and U.S. House website issues
To: Rep. Foxx
From: A verified voter in Lenoir, NC
July 22
On the website for the House, I noticed two things. First, in the "Legislative Activity" tab, the sidebar link to "House Calendar" directs me to the former House Majority leader Steve Scalise's site going up to the 114th Congress. You are currently in the 119th Congress. Please contact the necessary people to have this fixed. Second, the embedded calendar directly on the House website shows a District Work Period from July 25 to August 29. That embedded calendar does not show September or further, so the District Work Period may be slower. That calendar shows the House is to be in Session through July 24, but as you know, the House Speaker will be closing Congress earlier than July 24. As the Speaker has stressed, this is not a vacation or recess, and Representatives will be connecting with Constituents back home. I have reviewed your website and I cannot find a schedule of your town halls or events to connect with constituents. Please provide a list of where you will be hosting town halls open to the public and other forums where constituents can see you. Please post this list publicly in a manner that can be easily found by anyone.
