The celiac safety act

To: Rep. Knott, Sen. Budd, Sen. Tillis

From: A constituent in Clayton, NC

July 13

I am writing to ask that you support The Celiac Safety Act. This would expand the list of major food allergens to cover all gluten-containing grains, not just wheat, requiring clear labeling on all food products that contain wheat, barley, or rye. For the 3 million Americans living with celiac disease who require a gluten-free diet, this would be life-changing.”  “As someone with celiac disease and as the mom of someone with celiac disease, I know firsthand how difficult it is to determine whether a food is safe to eat. This bill would make a real difference in my and my son’s daily life.”  Thank you.
