Support Supreme Court Term limits
To: Sen. Kaine, Sen. Warner
From: A constituent in Arlington, VA
December 16
Senators Manchin and Welch introduced a constitutional amendmentthat to establish term limits for Supreme Court justices. Term limits are widely supported across the aisle, and recent ethics violations and an institutional lack of transparency have shattered American trust in the court. These are not elected officials, and the American people never gave them consent to govern, much less consent to govern for life. The life term was intended to insulate justices from political pressure. Instead, it’s become a political weapon. Term limits are desperately needed, or the court’s corruption will never be solved. I fully expect you to stand with your bipartisan constituents in support of this effort.
