I’m urging you to oppose H.R. 1526, the “No Rogue Rulings Act,” and reject any attempt to weaken the federal judiciary to appease Donald Trump. This bill is not about protecting the Constitution—it’s about punishing judges who follow it.
Let’s be honest: this isn’t about judicial overreach. It’s about Republicans who are either afraid of Trump or willing to dismantle constitutional checks and balances to stay in his good graces. That’s not leadership. That’s opportunism.
The judiciary exists to provide oversight and ensure that no president—past or present—is above the law. Trying to impeach judges, strip courts of authority, or defund them because they rule against Trump is dangerous and authoritarian.
If a judge makes a bad ruling, there are appeals. There are legal channels. There is not, however, a constitutional justification for gutting the judicial branch because you don’t like the outcome.
This isn’t about partisanship—it’s about preserving democracy. You can’t claim to serve the American people while voting to weaken the very system that protects their rights.
