Re: Enforcement of Noem v. Abrego Garcia, Docket No. 24A949

To: Justices Court

From: A constituent in Prescott, AZ

April 15

Dear Honorable Justices, I write to urge the Supreme Court to enforce its unanimous order in Noem v. Abrego Garcia, Docket No. 24A949. The executive branch has refused to comply. Mr. Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a lawful resident of Maryland, remains imprisoned in El Salvador in defiance of this Court’s mandate and that of the lower court. The administration admits the deportation was unlawful. It has not corrected the violation. Mr. Abrego Garcia is still being held in a prison the U.S. government helps finance. The administration claims it has done “all it can,” but this is demonstrably false. The United States has the diplomatic and economic leverage to secure his return. It has simply chosen not to use it. If the Supreme Court does not act to enforce its own judgment, it invites the executive branch—and future administrations—to treat Court rulings as optional. The consequences extend far beyond this case. When judicial decisions are ignored without repercussion, the separation of powers collapses and the rule of law is rendered meaningless. I respectfully request that the Court assert its authority, protect the integrity of its orders, and take immediate steps to compel compliance in this matter.
