Governor Ferguson, Trump administration officials have launched unprecedented attacks on elections. They actively seek to suppress votes, eliminate mail-in ballots, and improperly remove voters from voter rolls using DOGE-generated SAVE software, which has a 14% error rate. We have already watched as they improperly seized ballots in Georgia looking for fraud. Now they have indicated that they will attempt to seize ballots this year before voting or certification is complete by declaring that there is fraud. I know you are a master chess player and want to strongly encourage you to be thinking many steps ahead as to how our state will counter the Trump and Republican attacks on our elections. What will you do if federal “agents” arrive with a warrant and demand ballots? Will the National Guard be available to protect our brave election volunteers and auditors whose mission is to deliver safe, secure and accurate elections and results. This is, after all, a matter of states’ rights that are guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution. Please make sure to use all the resources at your disposal to protect our votes, our elections and our state from Trump’s interference. I am concerned and all of us need your help. Thank you.
