RFK JR is it Clear and Present Danger!

To: Sen. Sheehy, Sen. Daines

From: A constituent in Billings, MT

February 13

Senators,   Your decision to confirm Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is not just a mistake—it is an outright betrayal of Montana, the United States, and the very principles of responsible leadership. I am appalled, disgusted, and deeply disappointed in your failure to stand up for truth, science, and public health. This vote proves that your so-called leadership is nothing more than political cowardice dressed up as governance.   RFK Jr. has spent years peddling conspiracy theories that have directly endangered the health of Americans. His relentless war on vaccines has fueled preventable disease outbreaks, undermined trust in science, and put children and vulnerable populations at risk. His views are not just extreme; they are lethal. The article published by U.S. News makes it clear: this man is a clear and present danger to public health, and yet you saw fit to give him a position of influence.   RFK Jr. has falsely claimed that vaccines cause autism, despite overwhelming scientific evidence proving otherwise. He has spread conspiracy theories linking vaccines to a “globalist” plot to control the population. His dangerous rhetoric contributed to a decline in vaccination rates, leading to the resurgence of measles and other preventable diseases in the U.S. and around the world. He has even suggested that chemicals in the water supply are turning children transgender—an absurd and harmful lie. His history of reckless and misleading statements is not limited to public health; he has spread baseless conspiracies about the COVID-19 pandemic, 5G technology, and bioweapons targeting specific ethnic groups.   This isn’t about partisanship. It’s about basic competence and moral responsibility. Instead of defending Montanans from misinformation and dangerous pseudoscience, you have handed RFK Jr. a megaphone and a stamp of legitimacy. You have abandoned the doctors, nurses, and health officials who fight every day to keep our communities safe. You have chosen to side with a man whose own family has disavowed him over the well-being of the people you were elected to represent.   Your leadership—if it can even be called that—has failed Montana and the country. You had a duty to protect Montana from the consequences of elevating a conspiracy theorist. Instead, you surrendered to the forces of ignorance and extremism. This is not just disappointing; it is disgraceful.   This was your chance to show true leadership—to stand up for reason, science, and public safety. Instead, you failed.    This will be your lasting disgrace.
