As we know, Trump's attacks on upcoming elections are incessant. From his tantrum about the SAVE act to illegally seizing Fulton ballots to trying to obtain state electoral roles, to attempting to interfere with postal ballots, the effort is ongoing, malign, and seemingly incorrigible. These attempts to put a finger on the scale are also illegal. And they are based on mischievous fear-mongering about the integrity of our elections. I ask you to do what Gavin Newsom is doing in California. Enact a law that makes it a felony for anyone to seize the ballots before counting. Here is what's happening in California: "California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) will introduce new legislation making ballot seizure before they are counted and certified by a state or county official a felony." Please take a lesson from the January 6th insurrection: we came so close to ultimate peril. All the gaming out of what Trump might do if he lost did not include predictions or contingency plans for such an occurrence. We now need guardrails at every level for an undeniable threat whose actual shape we cannot predict.
