You can’t straddle the line on humanitarian issues. Commit to what is right!

To: Sen. Booker, Sen. Kim, Rep. Kean

From: A verified voter in Budd Lake, NJ

April 12

I am writing today to admonish Congress for standing with one foot on either side of the line when it comes to ICE concentration camps on U.S. soil. As your constituents watch more and more of your colleagues drawing lines in the sand when it comes to the Trump administration and its gross overreach- in some cases violating the constitution of the United States of America and in others, even international laws- we must ask ourselves why we voted for people who are wishy-washy when it comes to humanitarian issues (Andy Kim excluded). Booker is silent. Tom Kean only recently made a statement asking Markwayne to “take a closer look” at the Roxbury proposal. This is not a commitment one way or the other- and it only happened after multiple officials started suing ICE and the federal government. He didn’t use his own judgement. He waited to see how it would pan out and stuck a toe in the water. It’s all very reminiscent of Aaron Burr. And just like him, it’s treasonous.
