Please work to end family detention by ICE — and start this by shutting down Dilley Detention Center. Senator Castro is circulating a letter to members of Congress seeking support for the immediate closure of this facility. Members of Congress received letters from children currently detained in that facility that were distributed by TV personality and children’s advocate, Ms. Rachel. The letters that are available to read on Ms. Rachel’s social media are absolutely heartbreaking. These children and their families need to be reunited ASAP. The children do not care if they stay in the United States or go to their home countries they only want to be back with their families. Please use all resources at your disposal to end family detention by ICE and shut down the Dilley Detention Center.
