As your constituent, I am deeply alarmed by Trump’s recent order directing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to intensify operations in Democratic-led cities. This escalation is clearly political in nature and raises urgent concerns about civil rights, racial profiling, and federal overreach. Under the guise of “law and order,” these tactics appear designed to intimidate immigrant communities, disrupt sanctuary policies, and provoke unrest in cities that do not align with Trump politically. This is not governance is retaliation. I want to know: What is your response to this order? Will you speak out publicly against this misuse of federal power? Will you call for oversight of ICE activities and demand transparency about where, how, and against whom these operations are being conducted? We’ve seen how similar escalations in the past have led to rights violations, detentions without due process, and long-term trauma for families and communities. As a member of Congress, your silencer, your action—matters now more than ever. I urge you to condemn any politically motivated targeting of immigrant populations and work to ensure that federal agencies are held accountable to the rule of law, not to the whims of a former president campaigning on fear. I look forward to your swift and unequivocal response.
