ACA credits. No shutdown fairness act
To: Sen. Graham, Sen. Scott

I’m writing in strong opposition to Senator Johnson’s Shutdown Fairness Act. While I very much want our servicemembers to be paid, this bill is not the way to go about it. It gives way too much power to Russel Vought to disburse funds where he wants during the shutdown and cut off departments and services with which he disagrees. It’s a formula for partisan punitiveness. Congress needs to get back to negotiations to reopen the government on a bipartisan, bicameral basis. And we want those ACA premium tax credits extended!
I’m very concerned about my family members who get their insurance through the ACA. With the estimated increases, they will no longer be able to afford insurance for themselves and their 2 small children. Please extend the tax credits.
