As your constituent, I urge you to support House Bill 1235 and help protect the independence of North Carolina’s judiciary. Our courts are strongest when judges can apply the law fairly and impartially, without political pressure or fear of retaliation. North Carolina’s Constitution depends on a real separation of powers. When one branch of government gains too much control over another, public trust erodes and the balance that protects ordinary people is weakened.
