I am urging you to step up and pressure government agencies to tap into their emergency funds in order to keep SNAP benefits going. Thousands of families rely on these benefits to keep food on their table. Without this families and children will struggle to make ends meet. Children will go hungry. I don't mean that anyone will starve to death, but they will be hungry and have a harder time concentrating at school, resulting in less learning, and an overall negative impact to our economy. I will be stepping up and donating to my local food bank, even though I expect that my taxes should be helping to fund this program. Please let me know what you plan to do.
