Taxpayers should not be paying for Trump's birthday parade.  I am unclear how DOGE did not find this government waste.  No other US president has had a large-scale military parade held in honor of their birthdays.  This is common in authoritarian regimes.  This sort of military parade propaganda is typical of North Korea (Kim Jong-il), the former Soviet Union (Stalin), Iraq (Hussein), China (Mao Zedong), and Nazi Germany (Hitler).  Republicans who are silent about the waste of taxpayer money and political theater are supporting not only Trump, but the authoritarian history it emulates.
