An Open Letter

To: Sen. Scott, Sen. Moody

From: A verified voter in Clermont, FL

March 16

I am writing to urge you to VOTE NO on the SAVE Act. Studies have repeatedly shown that non-ciitizen voting simply does not happen. Republicans have confirmed this. Studies in red states have confirmed that non-ciitizens voting is not an issue at all. The SAVE Act is designed instead to be a voter suppression bill. By making REAL ID's no longer sufficient to verify identity, this bill is nullifying the ID of millions of American citizens. Demanding that voters be forced to present passports, birth certificates, and marriage certificates in order to vote places a financial hardship on many and will make it impossible for many to vote at all, affecting voters across the country in ALL districts. The financial burden is nothing more than an illegal poll tax and the demand that voters "show their papers" harkens back to Nazi Germany. This bill will hurt EVERY political party and MILLIONS OF AMERICAN VOTERS. If ever there was a perfect example of the leopard eating your face, this is it. You have a duty to your country and your oath of office to VOTE NO on the SAVE Act. VOTE NO.
