The Democratic caucus has made their decision on selecting Rep. Gerry Connolly as the ranking member of the powerful House Oversight Committee for the 118th Congress. While Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez put forth a strong challenge, the caucus ultimately favored Rep. Connolly's experience and record. However, it is clear there is a desire for generational change in Democratic leadership roles.
