The BBB is a Big Bold Blunder

To: Sen. Tillis, Sen. Budd, Rep. Foxx

From: A constituent in Glade Valley, NC

July 2

"This is the most deeply immoral piece of legislation I have ever voted on in my entire time in Congress,” said Senator Chris Murphy (D-CT).” “[W]e're debating a bill that’s going to cut healthcare for 16 million people. It's going to give a tax break to…massively wealthy people who don't need any more money. There are going to be kids who go hungry because of this bill. This is the biggest reduction in…nutrition benefits for kids in the history of the country.” Murphy continued: “We're obviously gonna continue to offer these amendments to try to make it better. So far not a single one of our amendments…has passed, but we'll be here all day, probably all night, giving Republicans the chance over and over and over again to slim down the tax cuts for the corporations or to make life a little bit…less miserable for hungry kids or maybe don't throw as many people off of healthcare. Maybe don't close so many rural hospitals. It's gonna be a long day and a long night.” But yet you’ll (maybe not you, Thom) sign it proving you care nothing about North Carolinians who can only survive because of these benefits. What kind of “representative” does that? Who do you represent? Certainly not me. Certainly not the mountain people of this state. This bill will come back to bite you, and I hope you feel the same level of pain that those whom you are kicking off healthcare and those from whom you are taking food feel. Please don’t gaslight me. You’re all experts at that, the gifted GOP being the masters at gaslighting. Nobody benefits from this bill except those who want to destroy this country through greed and power. The taxpayers certainly don’t benefit. The environment doesn’t benefit. So why in the hell would you support it? (We really know why, and you know why too. You are all weak servants of a cult leader). Your claims to do what’s best for your constituents are pathetic. There’s not enough waste and fraud in this country as a whole (except in the GOP) country to justify what you’re doing. If you want to attack waste and fraud, stop attacking the CFPB. Read Judd Legum’s columns and attack that fraud. Impeach the entire Trump cabinet if you want to rid us of fraud. But don’t attack your own neighbors.
