Freedom of the press and freedom of information are two extremely important factors in United States constitutional law. However, neither can occur evenly and accurately when the media is being manipulated by the president and his administration. Not only are they threatening influencers, independent journalists, and even mainstream news agencies, but now they are additionally putting out false information that makes it nearly impossible for average Americans to get any accurate information at all. The invasion of Iran is just one such example. Trump claims that we struck first because they were planning to strike the United States. He doubled down on that stating that we did it because we needed freedom for Iranians and a regime change. Pete Hegseth said it had nothing to do with regime change. Marco Rubio said we got involved to prevent an attack from Iran in retaliation for the Israeli attacks on Iran. We had to support Israel, yet again, in yet another war WE THE PEOPLE neither asked for, desired, or needed. Demand freedom of the press. Demand freedom of information. Demand clear and concise explanations from our government.
