No DHS funding without ironclad guardrails for ICE.

I’m writing once again to demand that there be no DHS funding until the Senate has agreed to ironclad guardrails for ICE. I am disgusted by the way this agency is abusing both American citizens and undocumented people, and I’m afraid for my community. ICE should be required to abide by the same guidelines as every other law enforcement agency. No more masks! No more child trafficking! No more arresting people without judicial warrants! No more surveillance of American citizens (or anyone else without probable cause) who are simply exercising their first amendment rights! No more use of weapons of war on nonviolent American residents! In my opinion, ICE shouldn’t even be armed at all. Training needs to improve. Employee selection needs to improve. Legislators, like yourself, need to be able to conduct oversight visits of detention centers without scheduling it in advance. I was appalled at the increase in funding when the OBBA passed, and I continue to be horrified by the abuses I see that funding is enabling. Please fix this.
