Reject partisan effort to disenfranchise legitimate North Carolina voters
To: Justices Court
From: A constituent in Asheville, NC
January 20, 2025
This zombie lawsuit seeking to disqualify about 60,000 legitimate voters is a dangerous escalation of the election denier playbook that threatens the integrity of future elections. Voters unknowingly used forms with minor clerical errors years ago through no fault of their own. Many provided identification at the time of voting. Throwing out these valid votes based on such trivial technicalities would be a brazen attempt to overturn the will of the people. The citizens of North Carolina cast their ballots in good faith, and their voices must be respected. I urge the court to reject this partisan ploy, halt further interference, and uphold the certification of election results reflecting the true choice of voters. Failing to do so would set a perilous precedent enabling partisan actors to nullify any unfavorable outcome. Protecting the sanctity of the democratic process is paramount.
