Stop the SAVE Act! Voter fraud is a myth, a lie. Don’t disenfranchise voters!

To: Sen. Klobuchar, Rep. McCollum, Sen. Smith

From: A constituent in Saint Paul, MN

February 22, 2025

The proposed SAVE Act is an unnecessary measure that threatens to disenfranchise eligible voters under the guise of addressing virtually non-existent voter fraud. Numerous studies and audits have consistently shown that voter impersonation is exceedingly rare, with an infinitesimal rate of just 0.0000044% of votes cast. Rather than safeguarding elections, this act would erect harmful barriers to voting rights, particularly impacting marginalized communities. We must prioritize expanding access to the ballot box and fortifying faith in our electoral system through policies grounded in facts, not unfounded conspiracy theories. I urge you to reject this misguided legislation and instead focus efforts on removing obstacles to full civic participation for all Americans.
