Defund and Abolish ICE
Congress must dismantle an agency operating outside the law and our values
ICE is operating beyond all bounds of legality, morality, and our American values. A federal force that kills civilians—as it did with Renee Nicole Good in Minneapolis—escalates violence, resists oversight, and acts with impunity cannot be trusted in a constitutional democracy.
This isn’t about immigration policy. It’s about whether any federal agency is accountable to the law. Due process and constitutional protections must apply to everyone on U.S. soil. When those rights are treated as optional, no one’s rights are secure.
ICE was created in 2003. The U.S. enforced immigration law for generations without it. Congress created ICE—and Congress must now dismantle it.
Congress should:
• Abolish ICE and reassign essential functions under accountable agencies
• Freeze funding and stop further expansion
• Hold public hearings on use-of-force policies and deaths in custody
• Reaffirm that constitutional rights apply to all people in the United States
America doesn’t rely on unaccountable force. We rely on law, limits, and oversight. You must act now—before more lives, our rights, and the Constitution are lost. Defund ICE — and bring its leaders to justice.
