I am writing as a deeply concerned constituent, The recent election results have left me, like many others, with profound fears for the future of our country—especially regarding the rights of women, BIPOC individuals, LGBTQIA+ communities, and people with disabilities.
Under the previous Trump administration, we saw repeated attacks on essential protections that uphold equality and justice for marginalized groups. The regression of rights—such as reproductive healthcare for women, anti-discrimination protections for BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ individuals, and accessibility rights for people with disabilities—has left many Americans feeling vulnerable and powerless. I fear that, with Trump once again in power, these rights may continue to erode, undoing decades of progress.
Equally concerning is the treatment of BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled communities. Many of the policies previously championed by Trump’s administration fueled divisive rhetoric and undermined protections for these communities.
As my elected representative, I am asking you to actively support and prioritize legislation that safeguards women’s rights, advances racial equity, upholds the rights of LGBTQIA+ individuals, and ensures equal access and protections for people with disabilities.
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. I hope I can count on you to take meaningful action to ensure that the future of our country reflects the values of inclusivity, fairness, and respect.
