Pvt. Isabella Gonzales. Carrollton, Texas. She was 19 years old. NINETEEN. She could not legally buy a beer at a bar in the country she swore an oath to defend. But she could be deployed to a base in Jordan, sleep in a thin-walled barracks, get hit by an Iranian ballistic missile in the middle of the night, die in a war that Congress never authorized, and then be DELETED from the official casualty count like a clerical error. Sgt. Angel S. Rampersad. 28. Ozone Park, New York. Same missile strike. Same barracks. Same night. She didn't die instantly — she went MISSING. For days, her status was "Duty Status-Whereabouts Unknown." They found her remains in the rubble. And after all that — after her family waited days not knowing if she was alive or dead — the Pentagon took her name off the list. Like she never happened. Like the missile never hit. Like the "ceasefire" held. 1st Lt. Tyler James Feehan. 25. Ewa Beach, Hawaii. Survived the initial strike. Died the next day from his injuries. His parents said he accomplished more in 25 years than most people do in a lifetime. His government couldn't even let him stay on a website. Sgt. Michael Emmanuel Swinton. 30. Fayetteville, North Carolina. Nearly a decade in the Army. Killed dismantling a downed Iranian attack drone in Iraq. Not in combat. Doing cleanup. Taking apart the thing that was supposed to kill someone else. He left behind a wife. A 6-year-old son. A 4-year-old daughter. A little girl who will spend the rest of her life without her father because he was doing his job in a war his president won't call a war, in a conflict his Congress won't authorize, and now his Pentagon won't even count him. On Wednesday, the Pentagon's casualty website listed 18 American deaths in Operation Epic Fury — the war with Iran that started February 28. On Thursday, it said 14. Four names gone. Four faces erased. The Pentagon called it "temporary data disruptions." The real reason — confirmed by three military officials to the New York Times — is that these four died AFTER Trump declared a "ceasefire" in April. A ceasefire so real that Iranian missiles are landing on American barracks in July. A ceasefire so legitimate that 100 servicemembers have been injured since July 7th alone. A ceasefire that exists for one reason and one reason only: to reset the War Powers Act clock. The law says the president has 60 days to fight without congressional authorization. Sixty days from February 28 is May 1. May 1 came and went. No authorization. No vote. No debate. So the White House sent a letter to Congress saying the ceasefire "terminated" the hostilities. New conflict, new clock, no accountability. Thomas Massie — a REPUBLICAN from Kentucky — said it plainly: "The Pentagon is pretending there have been two Iran wars separated by a brief ceasefire." He's one of only FOUR Republicans in the entire House who voted to enforce the law. Four Republicans. In the ENTIRE party of flags and eagles and "freedom isn't free." Four. There are 18 dead Americans right now in a war that was never authorized. The Pentagon is cooking the books. The bodies are coming home in boxes. WHERE ARE THE "SUPPORT THE TROOPS" MAGNETS? Where's the outrage?organizations? Where are the Gold Star family advocates? Where are the people who cried over 13 servicemembers in Afghanistan and said "never again"? It's happening AGAIN. RIGHT NOW. This war has cost $37.5 BILLION so far and Hegseth just told Congress he needs almost double that. You lost your minds over school lunches. Where are the "law and order" people? The War Powers Act is the LAW. The House has voted TWICE to enforce it. The president is ignoring it. That's not a gray area. That's a constitutional crisis in broad daylight and you don't care because your guy is doing it. You don't support the troops. You support the aesthetics of supporting the troops. You support the bumper sticker. You support the flyover at the football game. You support the flag as a prop. But when those troops come home in boxes you remain silent. Isabella Gonzales was 19 years old. She was Latina. She was from Texas. She was a private in the United States Army. She could not buy a beer. She could die in an unauthorized war during a fake ceasefire in a country we're not officially fighting in and be removed from a casualty list so the math works for a White House lawyer.
