Thank you for co-sponsoring Senator Warner’s bill, S. 2594: A bill to amend section 236 of the Immigration and Nationality Act to require immigration enforcement officers of the Department of Homeland Security to display visible identification during enforcement actions and provide privacy enhancing services. It is imperative that law enforcement officers be easily identifiable for everyone’s safety. It has become far too easy for criminals to impersonate ICE and other law enforcement agents, since anyone can buy combat gear and a mask. Thank you for your efforts to keep us all safe.
