Hello, I am looking for 2023 Tax Assistance and Advocacy. I filed my state and federal income taxes. They were accepted (State) on January 22,2024, (Federal) on January 24, 2024. After verification of my identity on ID.ME, and over the phone with an IRS AGENT, I received a letter requesting 60 additional days needed to process on April 22, 2024. Today, June 25 marks 61 days. I contacted an IRS Tax Advocate Service and I am told that this will take approximately 3 weeks to have an Advocate assigned to me. I am a disabled mom of 2 children, but currently in transition for a new role. In the meantime, my home has flooded, the loss of my child's parent this month, all of which I financed successfully; I also now physically care for and financially support his mother. While my children await benefits, this, among daily expenses is taking a toll on both my health, my bandwidth, and my cash flow to maintain and manage expenses properly. Please help! I also have, apparently, a balance due for State taxes, to which I did submit a payment plan for case number 11999254. The first payment comes out of my checking account August 1,2024. Otherwise, I have a perfect payment history on my financial obligations but this month, I will not have enough. Im terrified for myself and not being able to financially support my family. There are no updates to my IRS Transcript, nor Maryland's Where's My Refund Tool as of today, June 26,2024.
