Demand an inquest on Pentagon v Anthropic battle over AI in military action

Today is the deadline for the Pentagon vs Anthropic battle over the unfettered usage of AI in military offensives. While I cannot claim to know how AI would be utilized, or whether or not it could be weaponized against United States citizens, Anthropic assures us that it could be disastrous- and since they literally built the system, I believe they know a little more about it than, say, the war department that is foaming at the mouth to deploy it.
AI is dangerous. We know this. We have watched lives be destroyed with it. We have watched “staff members” of the White House misuse it to victimize former presidents and First Ladies. We have watched the undereducated residents of this country internalize AI messages as fact- and act on those messages without question.
I think that the very least we deserve is an inquest by Congress on how and under what circumstances the department of war intends to use this tool.
