Resignation without retribution is a right, not a privilege.

Joe Kent was appointed by trump as the head of national counterterrorism efforts. Joe Kent recognized that Trump’s regime is dangerous and unethical. Joe Kent resigned based on this knowledge.
It’s pretty bad when the people he himself has hired decide to bounce because their job descriptions have become so evil and loathsome that they cannot continue in their positions. I’m not saying Joe Kent deserves support. I’m just saying that when one of the villains says hey this is too villainous for me, the American government should probably take note.
That being said, prior to his resignation, Joe Kent was considered a good employee by the current administration. However, since his resignation, Trump has defamed him and launched an investigation into his actions- specifically into allegations that he leaked classified information. You know- the kind of stuff we usually only find in the bathroom at Mar al Lago.
Do we not have enough going on right now? Do we really need yet another distraction from the rest of the circus this regime has created? More importantly- are you, our elected officials- going to sit idly by observing yet another mishandled financial decision spending our tax dollars on an investigation based on nothing more than one man’s desire to persecute someone else for their ethics?
This isn’t slavery. It’s a government. Joe Kent had a right to resign, and he should not be subject to persecution or retribution just because he disagrees with a lunatic. No one should. This is out of pocket and out of hand. Tell Trump no.
