The hypocrisy is exquisite. Step down.

Good evening…
Your job- when you choose to do it- is to gather information from your constituents and present that information to the government in our best interest. It’s not life threatening. It’s not physically taxing. It’s not even really intellectually challenging… but it’s well compensated in both salary and benefits…
Why is it then, that you find it appropriate to use your tax payer provided benefits to avoid the job WE THE PEOPLE have elected you to do? Why is it appropriate for you to vote against benefits for people with REAL jobs and responsibilities while using yours to hang out at the funny farm?
Do you have any possible idea how physically and mentally taxing it is to be a regular Joe? To carry materials on a job site? To operate heavy machinery? To calm a nervous patient? To stand behind a register for 12 hours while unhappy customers yell at you? Of course you don’t. But you do believe that your job is harder than any of ours- and more deserving of compensation than ours.
You are a cruel man who has used the faith of your constituents to manipulate a system that takes very good care of you while simultaneously ignoring the rest of us. You are a hypocrite and a fraud. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Step down.
