I am writing to express my deep concern and outrage over the destructive policies being enacted through Donald Trump’s recent executive orders and the reckless decisions made by his administration, particularly his cabinet choices, including Elon Musk. These actions are not only undermining the foundational principles of our democracy but are actively harming the American people and our nation’s standing in the world. Trump’s executive orders have been nothing short of disastrous. They prioritize corporate interests over public welfare, roll back crucial environmental protections, attack the rights of marginalized communities, and erode the very institutions designed to safeguard democracy. By bypassing Congress and issuing sweeping directives, Trump is consolidating power in a way that threatens the checks and balances essential to our government. Elon Musk’s presence in the administration only compounds these problems. While he has been lauded as an innovator, his influence in policymaking is proving to be a grave mistake. The government should serve the people, not billionaires who seek to dismantle worker protections, weaken regulatory oversight, and push reckless technological experiments without accountability. The American people deserve leadership that prioritizes their well-being, not an administration that caters to the ultra-wealthy while leaving ordinary citizens to suffer the consequences. We cannot stand by while Trump and his cabinet make decisions that enrich themselves at the expense of working families, environmental sustainability, and the fundamental rights of our citizens. I urge you to take a stand against this blatant corruption and recklessness. Congress must act to curb Trump’s abuses of power, hold his administration accountable, and protect our democracy from the disastrous policies currently being forced upon us.
