I am deeply concerned about some of the President-Elect’s Cabinet nominees, and hope that you will oppose these candidates.
While I realize that it is the usual practice, historically, to confirm most of the Cabinet choices of an incoming President, many of the current nominees, especially Pete Hegseth, seem uniquely unqualified for such important positions. Tulsi Gabbard also does not appear to be a trustworthy person for the NSA, and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. has expressed dangerous and unscientifically supported opinions that could have a significantly negative impact on the nation’s overall health and well-being.
All candidates for Cabinet positions should be required to pass background checks by the FBI and should be judged by their past words and deeds prior to any confirmation. Any candidates for high level positions, such as Kash Patel, who have made statements about using a government office to seek retribution against political opponents, should be opposed without exception.
The integrity of our government and the safety and security of our nation depends on the actions of the Senate in this matter. Please put country over party.
