I’m a member of Indivisible Westside Los Angeles and a constituent from Santa Monica I’m reaching out in support of bills to rein in the regime’s masked, out-of-uniform, unidentified agents roaming the streets of America – especially here in Los Angeles – and brutalizing and abducting non-citizens and citizens alike. Not only is this intolerable in its own right, it also creates a huge opening for criminals to impersonate law enforcement and simply kidnap people outright. Some reporting suggests this is already happening. Two bills have already been introduced in the House to prevent these outrages: the “No Secret Police” Act (HR 4176), and the “No Masks for ICE” Act. I urge you to co-sponsor these bills, give them your full public support, and do everything in your power to pass them. Additionally, I urge you to pursue impeachment articles against criminal members of this regime. Speaking of which, I am very disappointed that Rep. Lieu voted to table Rep. Green’s recent articles. When someone acts illegally, you call them on it, whether the corrupt GOP will acknowledge it or not. Do better. Finally, I urge you to do everything you can to prevent passage of the Republicans’ budget reconciliation bill, which will make tens of millions of Americans sicker and hungrier, all to line the pockets of our nation’s wealthiest people. It’s an outrage. Thank you.
