Vote NO on TITLE IV—ENERGY AND COMMERCE (Part II: AI section, (c) moratorium) of the Budget Reconciliation Bill, added by Congressman Guthrie. This is a dangerous inclusion to a bill that is not even about generative AI. This removes state's rights to govern. This would allow Deepfakes to run rampant which can be dangerous for your constituents. Deepfakes of congress and senators spreading misinformation could be created for the next 10 years. This would cause lawlessness to run amuck. Deepfakes for revenge porn could be created and ruine innocent lives, particularly of children. I implore you to reject this terrible addition to a budget bill and to reprimand Congressman Guthrie.
