Hold The Would Be King in Contempt

To: Justices Court

From: A constituent in Denver, CO

May 10

To the Honorable Justices of the United States Supreme Court, I write to you today as a concerned citizen witnessing a grave constitutional crisis. The refusal of the former Trump administration to comply with your ruling in the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia is nothing short of contempt of court. This is a dangerous precedent — one that signals a complete disregard for the authority of the judiciary and the rule of law. The deportation of Mr. Abrego Garcia, in direct violation of your order, is not an isolated event. It is part of a larger pattern of systemic abuse, where lawful residents, green card holders, and even American citizens have been deported or detained without due process. These actions violate core constitutional protections and basic human rights. The Court must act. It is not enough to issue rulings — when the executive branch refuses to comply, it is your duty to enforce the authority of your decisions. I implore you to hold Donald J. Trump and all responsible officials in contempt of court. To allow this defiance to go unanswered is to permit the erosion of our legal system by a neo-fascist ideology that threatens to dismantle American democracy. This nation was founded on a commitment to checks and balances — to the principle that no one, not even a president, is above the law. If this administration is allowed to ignore the Constitution, the Court, and the rights of the people, then the very fabric of our republic is at stake. I urge you to respond decisively and publicly. We, the people, are watching — and we need to know that the Supreme Court will not yield to authoritarianism, incompetence, or lawlessness.
