Senator Ernst has proven time and again that her “make ‘em squeal” campaign slogan applies to her constituents, not anyone in Washington. We all know we’re going to die. We shouldn’t die from preventable causes as a result of lack of healthcare access, unaffordable healthcare, or malnourishment as children. And for what? For our senator to protect her own interests by falling in line behind whatever Trump wants (even confirming Hegseth just to avoid getting primaried), to give handouts to the richest people, and to keep collecting from corporate donors. Senator Ernst makes jokes about her callousness and doesn’t seem to care about the bill’s provision that will destroy checks and balances by making it impossible for courts to enforce rulings against government officials. We will remember when we go to the polls.
