The recent actions by Elon Musk in calling for the impeachment of judges over rulings he disagrees with are deeply concerning and undermine the independence of the judiciary, a cornerstone of our democratic system. His outbursts against the reinstatement of federal workers fired through the DOGE policy demonstrate a disregard for due process and the rule of law. It is imperative that we have leaders who respect the system of checks and balances and the authority of the courts, even when decisions do not align with their personal interests. I urge you to speak out against these threats to our democratic institutions and hold those who make such statements accountable. The independence of the judiciary must be fiercely protected.
