Do you believe in freedom? Liberty and Justice for All? The right to privacy? The right to keep government out of your business? I do! That’s why I’m appalled that DOGE is building a surveillance state. We’ve entrusted government agencies with personal information (not entirely willingly) on the promise that they would keep our information private and would use it only for the purpose it was intended (to collect taxes, for example, or to pay out social security.) Knocking down walls between agencies will create comprehensive files on everyone so the government can punish those who protest. President Trump might not use them against me, but what about the next president who disagrees with my positions. We are sliding toward totalitarianism and it’s up to you to stop it.
