Pass the Pay our Troops Act TODAY! As your constituent, I urge you to cosponsor and support the Pay Our Troops Act of 2026. This legislation has strong bipartisan support, and I urge you to prioritize its swift passage. This bill will ensure that members of the Armed Services will be paid in the event of a government shutdown. The Armed Services are the backbone of U.S. national security, and our servicemembers will continue to perform their vital duties regardless of whether or not Congress passes a funding bill. Partisan gridlock should never prevent our troops from receiving the pay they deserve for putting their lives on the line for our country. As a veteran, I know firsthand how important it is to maintain a strong national defense. My brothers and sisters in arms will carry a heavy burden of overdue bills and missed payments if they do not receive their hard-earned pay.
