I am writing to urge you to take action regarding former President Donald J. Trump’s blatant violations of the U.S. Constitution. His recent attempts to unlawfully rewrite the 14th Amendment through Executive Order 14160—aimed at ending birthright citizenship—demonstrate a clear disregard for constitutional law. Additionally, he has overstepped Congress by ignoring Article 1, Section 8, Clause 1, which grants Congress the sole power to authorize taxes and funding. His actions also violate the Impoundment Control Act of 1974, as he attempts to strip Congress of its constitutional authority over the federal budget. These egregious violations alone disqualify Donald Trump from holding the office of the presidency. His continued disregard for constitutional limits, separation of powers, and the rule of law must not be ignored. I urge you to take immediate action to hold him accountable and protect the integrity of our democracy. There are now reports he has acceded the payment system for Medicaid. This is a coup. Call it what it is. It’s a hostile takeover. This should be the #1 headline and story across the country. Use whatever power you have and do not act like the standard order of business and procedure will work. Do anything and everything you can. You cannot take the high road when our democracy is at stake. Please let me know where you stand on this critical issue. I look forward to your response.
