Greetings, hope you had a peaceful Thanksgiving. I am writing today to ask you to hold Pete Hegseth and the Trump administration accountable for the slaughters at sea of the suspected drug smugglers that Pete Hegseth commanded the military to “Kill everybody” after the first strike left some alive. Based on the Commander’s Legal Handbook issued by the Judge Advocate General, Pete Hegseth’s orders for a second strike to execute survivors were illegal and constitute a war crime. Trump, who is bombing boats said to carry drug runners, pardoned the former president of Honduras who was convicted of supporting one of the largest, most violent drug trafficking conspiracies in the world. Trump and Hegseth are bombing boats. Threatening to invade Venezuela. All to “stop drugs.” Yet now he’s pardoning a man who helped traffic 400 tons of cocaine into the US. Real drug traffickers, Ross Ulbricht, Larry Hoover and most recently Juan Orlando Hernández are laughing all the way to freedom as the legislative branch shields their eyes, covers their ears and refuses to take action or condemn these indiscriminate murders. I call on you to do the job you were elected to do and reign in this administration and hold those who in command accountable. The US people are curious as to why Admiral Holsey resigned. The citizens of our nation do not want to be a part of a rogue military terrorist state. The US would have been obligated to RESCUE the stranded individuals not murder them. Per the Washington Post “As two men clung to a stricken, burning ship targeted by SEAL Team 6, the Joint Special Operations commander followed Hegseth’s order to leave no survivors.” This is War crime if they are combatants and lawless murder if not combatants. Ordering a second strike on an exploded vessel like this is literally what someone got sentenced for at Nuremberg and The People of the US DEMAND accountability — Hegseth MUST be questioned under oath immediately and the Legislative Branch needs to hold all responsible accountable.
