Investigate Musk's DOGE Commission Access to Payment Systems

To: Sen. Van Hollen, Rep. Olszewski, Sen. Alsobrooks

From: A verified voter in Cockeysville, MD

February 2, 2025

The actions of Elon Musk's DOGE commission gaining access to sensitive Treasury payment systems are deeply concerning. Allowing an outside group with a political agenda to potentially tamper with critical financial infrastructure puts the well-being of all Americans at risk. These systems handle Social Security, Medicare, and other vital programs that people rely on for their livelihoods. Even the appearance of politically motivated interference could undermine public trust and confidence. I urge you to take immediate action to revoke DOGE's access and conduct a full investigation into what data they may have accessed and for what purposes. Musk's unsubstantiated claims about payment approval officers approving payments to fraudulent groups are reckless and damaging without proof. The American people deserve assurances that their personal data and benefit payments are fully secure from any undue influence or disruption. Protecting the integrity of our financial systems should be a top priority.
