Like millions of people last night, I was watching the Survivor finale only to be interrupted for Trump's State of the Union speech. I have to ask, are you proud of that speech? The speech was ridiculous. Trump was on a manic high. He was angry, belligerent, and manic. He tried to browbeat us into believing his firehouse of apocalyptic fiction. How many times did we hear the words "Biden"? Biden lives rent-free in Trump's head. It's sad. I'm not sure why the speech was necessary. It was desperate. It was delusional. And it solidified what every American knows. Trump is not well. He is mentally unhinged and unfit and physically unwell. If Trump were my grandfather he'd be in an assisted living. I have no doubt you'd say the same if this were any other man. For the life of me, I cannot fathom why you both continue to bow down to this unhinged maniac. He lives in an alternate reality. What I hope are rumors, but fear may be true, Trump wants to start the "Patriot games" with a boy and girl from every state competing. All I have to say is what in the actual h*ll are we living through right now? Why do you all continue to humor him as if he's a toddler with immature thinking abilities. Senators, I know deep in my heart you are better than this. Instead of manic speeches and unnecessary patriot games, perhaps Trump and his administration should focus on figuring out how to properly govern. Americans are losing jobs, inflation is high, prices are high, people are losing health care and Medicaid and Medicare and SNAP benefits. Children are dying of diseases because they can't get proper vaccines. I could go on and on, but you don't need a litany of Trump's grievances and ways he is destroying our country and our world standing. You know all of it. The question remains, how much longer are you going to tie yourself to the Trump regime? How much longer are you going to allow Trump to disparage previous presidents in an effort to gaslight and make himself feel bigger? How much longer are you going to allow Trump to stand in front of the American people and lie when we are living the truth and are experiencing what is actually happening in our country? History will not be kind to you. You're destroying your legacy for a demented old man. This demented old man will happily throw you under the bus. So think about it Senators. It's time to start upholding your Oaths to the Constitution and working for the people of this country. It's time to show your loyalty to your constituents. It is time to figure out if you want to remain with the MAGA Republican party as it descends further and further into Neo Nazism and Trump's fantasy world, or if you want to pull yourselves together and bring back what the Republican party was years ago. We voters are watching.
