An Open Letter
To: Rep. Kean
From: A constituent in Bridgewater, NJ
July 25
I understand that there are going to be significant problems with implementing the bipartisan Road to Housing Act because of DOGE’s cuts to the Department of Housing and Urban Development — which has lost more than 30% of its workforce. Congress needs to increase its funding immediately so the bill can be quickly implemented. The housing emergency won’t wait.
Second, I want Congress to enforce the bipartisan War Powers Resolution it passed last month now that Trump has ended the ceasefire and resumed strikes without congressional approval. Congress must oppose any further military action and hold hearings on the Trump administration’s justification for this new wave of unauthorized strikes. Thank you.
