No Discrimination in the Gem State
To: Sen. Cook, Gov. Little
From: A constituent in Ammon, ID
February 12
I'm against this Idaho bill 557. Non-discrimination should be a primary value of Idahoans and our communities. Some communities have found that despite this, businesses continue to discriminate against our neighbors. Thus, some towns have worked to create additional protections for members of our communities, since being a decent business owner seems too difficult for some. Legislation dismantling that protection erodes communities, oversteps local authority, negatively impacts small local businesses, and further harms our towns and state. A vote in favor of this bill is a vote in favor of discrimination and xenophobia. And that should NEVER be something our state wants.
