To: Rep. Oremus

May 13
South Carolina GOP Gov. Henry McMaster is expected to announce a special session on redistricting.
This would allow the state legislature to pass a Republican gerrymander that would almost certainly cost Democratic Rep. Jim Clyburn his seat in this year’s midterms.
McMaster’s plan us a reversal of his position earlier this month and follows pressure from President Donald Trump and his allies to gerrymander the state.
Stop letting the White House meddle in SC politics!
Five Republican state senators already voted with Democrats to block a measure that would have allowed them to redraw South Carolina’s districts.
Respect you colleagues votes. Tell Governor McMaster NO to a special session to redistrict SC.
Should he persist, vote NO to redistricting SC!
Ever voter deserves a voice and redistricting for the purpose of gerrymandering is specifically used to suppress the will of voters!
If you can't win without rigging the game, adopt a platform that resonates with the needs of the constituents of SC!
