Please do everything in your power to discontinue plans for the “Speedway Slammer” in Indiana. I am truly disgusted by this news. Detention Centers for law-abiding residents of America have no place in our country, and certainly no place in our state. As so-called Christians, I expect much more from you and our elected leaders. Please refuse on welcome, hospitality, and support for our neighbors. It doesn’t matter whether they were born in America or not. Most immigrants contribute very effectively to our communities. Please reallocate those precious resources to healthcare, education, and the effective support God would give to ALL of our community members. Jesus would offer welcome, hospitality, and support for our neighbors; NOT detaining them without due process, a fundamental aspect of our American Rights.
